Juan Dahlmann -grandson, on the one
hand, of the evangelical priest Johannes Dahlmann and on the other,
of the much more romantic hero, Francisco Flores, who died at the
hands of the Catriel Indians- is a dreamer, who considers himself
much more Latin, than Germanic. It is only after an accident which
takes him to death's door that he begins living -really living- in
the Argentina that he has until now always dreamed of loveing. But
just as he begins to truly savour how wonderful it is to be
alive... destiny claims him.
